From April 2016 to the present, Rebecca has been Director of Nafasi Art Space, Tanzania's leading contemporary arts institution. By creating spaces and opportunities for artists and audiences to create, exchange, collaborate and learn, Nafasi helps further and enrich human potential through the arts.

As Director, Rebecca has overseen the artistic and administrative direction of the organisation, including establishing the Nafasi Academy for Contemporary Art and Expression, which trains visual artists, curators, and arts managers, as well as FEEL FREE, an annual grant and incubation programme that supports artist-led projects and initiatives across Tanzania.
